The business school’s academic team and key business disciplines are structured in two departments:

There is a lively culture of practically-orientated research that feeds into our teaching and delivers expertise and insight to individuals and organisations regionally, nationally and internationally. Our research training is recognised by the Economics and Social Research Council.
We have 200 academic staff from a diverse number of countries with extensive practical business experience to add that ‘real’ world experience to our teaching with a growing international student body.
We recognise the importance of providing students with the knowledge and skills relevant to the workplace. Our undergraduate students through our Placement Scheme have access to our links with the world of work where they can develop a rounded understanding of their subject. Also our MBA students have an opportunity to undertake a real live consultancy project with one of our business partners to help their career development.
