Professor Shawn-Naphtali Sobers has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), in recognition of his unique contribution to the field of filmmaking, photography and writing.
AUB stated “Shawn is an exemplary academic and artist, who has made a huge impact on AUB through his exhibition in TheGallery, AUB in February 2023 with its accompanying events, discussion and book launch.”
Shawn is a Professor of Cultural Interdisciplinary Practice and Director of the Critical Race and Culture Research Network at UWE Bristol. A collection of his work can be found at www.shawnsobers.com.
