UWE Bristol’s Beeline has been highly commended at the 20th Green Gown Awards. The award winning Beeline biodiversity scheme brings nature into the heart of campus by introducing plants that are specifically “edible pollinators” whilst providing staff and students with access to free herbs, fruit and vegetables.
Planting schemes have been designed around ten key edible pollinators, this core planting is then supplemented by seasonal edibles and high-performing pollinator plants on a continuous basis throughout the year.

UWE Bristol also won the 2030 Climate Action award at the awards for its highly sustainable student accommodation, Purdown View, the largest certified Passivhaus student accommodation development in the UK.
