We\u2019re not just talking about the money (although we know that\u2019s significant ) &#8211; it\u2019s also the time, energy and effort that you are putting into your degree.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want you to focus on really maximising that investment, and make some choices which will help you get the most out of your time here at UWE.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What simple things can you do?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Attendance.<\/strong> Your course is the main reason you are here, right? And you are spending a lot of money for this teaching, so it doesn\u2019t make sense to regularly skip classes. We know there might sometimes be reasons why you can\u2019t make it onto campus, but try to plan your week to give you the best possible chance of attending those lectures.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Engagement<\/strong>. It\u2019s not enough to just turn up to lectures or teaching sessions, you need to really BE there. Be an active participant on your course and you really will see the benefits. What does this look like? Ask questions. Get involved in discussions. Do extra reading. Reply to emails. All of this will drastically improve your learning and help you get more out of your studies.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other ways to maximise your investment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s worth remembering that life as a UWE Bristol student gives you access to a huge range of support services and opportunities and it\u2019s worth making the most of these. You\u2019ve already paid for it, so take advantage of it!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/study\/career-development\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Careers and Enterprise<\/a> \u2013 Start planning for your future now. Your time at uni will fly by, and you want to be in the best possible position when you graduate. Did you know that a careers coach can cost up to \u00a3250 an hour on the outside world? Here it\u2019s completely free, so get booking!\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/life\/money-and-finance\/student-money-service\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Money Service<\/a> \u2013 Don&#8217;t let your financial situation get in the way of you excelling at uni. We have bursaries and grants on offer, and specialist advisers who can offer support and help you manage your money.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/life\/activities\/sport\/membership-and-prices\/move\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centre for Sport<\/a> \u2013 The free MOVE programme gives you access to more than 100 weekly exercise classes and sessions, so make the most of this fantastic facility.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/life\/activities\/centre-for-music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centre for Music<\/a> \u2013 Looking to learn some new skills? Want to make some new friends?
