Don\u2019t bin it\u2014donate it! The UWE Sustainability Hub is collecting clean, good-quality items to help new students moving in this September. It\u2019s a great way to cut down on waste and help out your fellow students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s the Sustainability Hub?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>It\u2019s your on-campus shop for free or super cheap second-hand stuff\u2014crockery, clothes, small appliances, books, and more. You can swap your donations for tokens to spend, or just pick things up for around 20p. We also have bigger-ticket items like monitors and other electronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Can You Donate?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>We\u2019re looking for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Small household and electrical items (like kettles, plates, utensils)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clothes, shoes, and bedding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Just make sure everything is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clean and in decent condition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bagged up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not broken, sharp, or unsafe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Where to Drop Stuff Off:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Donation points on Frenchay Campus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Northavon House (ground floor lobby)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outside the Sustainability Hub (Room 1D015)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students\u2019 Union (near reception)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over the summer, you\u2019ll also find extra donation bins in student accommodation bin stores\u2014easy!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When\u2019s the Hub Open?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We\u2019re back from 10th September, and open longer during Move-In Week:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wed 10 \u2013 Sun 14 Sept, 10:00\u201315:00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular hours: Tues\u2013Thurs, 12:00\u201317:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bother?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Because it makes a real difference. From September 2024 to May 2025, over 20,000 students used the Hub, swapping more than 30,000 items.
