Their brief was to develop a science magazine from scratch and they were left to develop the concept and choose who the audience would be themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Claudia Stocker, Morwenna Bugg, Jessica Howard and Alex Johanson-Brown decided to turn their mutual interest in coffee into a fully caffeinated science magazine. <em>Grounds for Thought<\/em> is aimed at readers who work in the coffee industry and keeps them up to date with the science related to coffee, the coffee industry and coffee shops: <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/grounds4thought.wixsite.com\/groundsforthought\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/science-communication-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/03\/MAgazine-1-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-123\" width=\"370\" height=\"462\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ben Holder, Anna Shah, Ed Carter and Chloe Raikes developed <em>Go Low<\/em>, an online magazine student travel magazine that aims to promote sustainable travel by giving useful information about how to reduce the environmental impacts of travelling: <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/golowgreentravel.wixsite.com\/magazine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/science-communication-students\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2021\/03\/Magazine-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-125\" width=\"411\" height=\"486\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students on the Writing Science module in the 20\/21 academic year came up with some impressive online science magazines.
