{"id":8313,"date":"2026-03-10T10:18:05","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T10:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/research-external-engagement\/?p=8313"},"modified":"2026-03-10T15:49:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T15:49:25","slug":"a-standout-year-for-professional-practice-week-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/research-external-engagement\/a-standout-year-for-professional-practice-week-in-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"A standout year for Professional Practice Week in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every January, UWE Bristol hosts a week of interactive workshops, industry talks, seminars, expert panels and bootcamps for creative students, known as Professional Practice Week (PPW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/study\/career-development\">Careers and Enterprise Development Team<\/a>, the events enable students to enrich their portfolios, develop skills, connect with professionals and explore career pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year was no exception, with a total 3,866 bookings and 1,022 unique students attending 63 in-person and online events led by 94 externals across City and Frenchay campuses \u2013 double the attendance from 2025.
