It brings together local employers, educators, and support services to offer practical advice, training opportunities, and pathways into sustainable careers \u2014 all within an open, welcoming environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Fair for All<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Green and Healthy Futures Fair is designed for everyone \u2014 whether you\u2019re looking for your next career step, re-entering the workforce, exploring training opportunities, or simply curious about what\u2019s happening locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open to all ages and backgrounds, the event offers a chance to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Browse stalls<\/strong> featuring job opportunities, apprenticeships, and free educational courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Receive advice<\/strong> on training pathways, employment support services, and skills development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enjoy warm food<\/strong> from <strong>Glen\u2019s Kitchen<\/strong> (served from 3.30pm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access free tech support<\/strong> with <strong>FixMyTek<\/strong> (bring your devices for a check-up)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s an opportunity to build confidence, ask questions, and connect with people and organisations working to make Bristol a greener, healthier, and more inclusive city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Free Workshops and One-to-One Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the afternoon and evening, attendees can join a range of free, bookable sessions designed to support career development:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mock Interviews<\/strong> (1:1, pre-booked, 3:00pm\u20134:35pm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Professional LinkedIn Headshots<\/strong> (5:00pm\u20137:00pm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interview Skills Workshop<\/strong> (5:15pm\u20135:45pm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CV Writing Session<\/strong> with <strong>Babbasa<\/strong> (6:00pm\u20136:40pm)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spaces are limited, and workshops can be booked in advance when registering via Eventbrite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meet the Organisations Shaping Bristol\u2019s Future<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attendees will have the chance to meet and network with organisations committed to building inclusive, sustainable opportunities across the city, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Babbasa<\/strong> \u2013 supporting young people from diverse backgrounds into education and employment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Youth Environmental Service (YES)<\/strong> \u2013 offering paid placements in environmental organisations for 18\u201325-year-olds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>City of Bristol College<\/strong> \u2013 providing a wide range of academic and vocational courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Employment, Skills and Learning (Bristol City Council)<\/strong> \u2013 delivering targeted employment support for underrepresented groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE)<\/strong> \u2013 supporting green skills development and fighting fuel poverty<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>FareChance Southwest<\/strong> \u2013 helping young adults gain warehouse and logistics experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ageing Lifestyles in Blacks and Asians (ALIBSA) \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>promotes health literacy to address health inequalities and empower Black and South Asian communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UWE Bristol&#8217;s School of Health and Social Wellbeing and Degree Apprenticeships team<\/strong> \u2013 offering accessible routes into healthcare and community-focused careers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bristol Waste and the Digital Inclusion Scheme<\/strong> \u2013 promoting access to refurbished technology and digital literacy support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wheels to Work<\/strong> \u2013 providing transport support, including bikes and bus passes, to overcome barriers to employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All these partners share a vision of a Bristol where every resident has the opportunity to thrive in a greener, fairer economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Get Involved<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Green and Healthy Futures Fair is <strong>free and open to all<\/strong>.
