Supporting and advancing addressing the challenges of net zero, circular economy or sustainable production through true interdisciplinary practice. Following recent success with an URKI Future Leader Fellowship and AHRC Creative Research Capability (CResCa) we are delighted to offer a suite of complimentary doctoral studentships in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are inviting applications from well-qualified students whose research interests connect with ours, and are looking to work with research topics including these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creative interaction with gestural technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performative robotics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital design and fabrication with generative AI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large scale design and fabrication with 6 axis robotic arms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tactile interaction with wearable technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainable digital design and fabrication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accessible and assistive technologies for creative applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Democratisation of design and technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photogrammetry, 3D scanning and reverse engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3D printing with bio-composites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shape changing and deformable interfaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital toolmaking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meta-design for creative technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-center wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uwe.ac.uk\/research\/postgraduate-research-study\/how-to-apply\/studentship-opportunities\">Apply now<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Successful applicants will have the opportunity to utilise UWE\u2019s brand new facility based on Frenchay Campus \u201cThe Bridge \u2013 A Creative Studio for Physical-Meta Production\u201d. This new space is for interdisciplinary, practice-based, design-led creative research which will drive the adoption of emerging technologies in the arts and humanities to stimulate novel forms of creative expression and production.
