UWE Bristol is entering its third year delivering the Help to Grow: Management course, designed for business owners, managers and senior decision makers of SMEs from all business sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Designed to be undertaken alongside full time work, Help to Grow: Management is a 12-week course consisting of 50 hours of timetabled activities. SME leaders are supported through the course by Bristol Business School lecturers and industry experts, with a focus on combining academic and real-life business experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants enrolled on the course in Year Three will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership and management skills, learning how to develop responsible business practices and recognising what drives productivity and growth in their market. The course consists of 12 modules in a mix of face-to-face and online learning, supported by weekly peer group calls, 1-1 mentoring, and access to a network of other SME leaders through both local and national alumni networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course is 90% subsidised by the government, costing participants just \u00a3750. In the first two years, UWE Bristol has guided over two hundred SME leaders through the course, building on the university\u2019s track record of supporting SMEs across the South West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The course covers strategies for growth and innovation, leading high-performance teams, and digital transformation, as well as financial management and building a brand. SME leaders benefit from the opportunity to step away from the office for a few hours a week, gaining valuable \u201cthinking space\u201d and time to develop a growth action plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
