The term of office is for three years in the first instance with the possibility of a renewal.  The post carries an honorarium and travel expenses associated with the role including attendance at one international conference a year.

About the Candidate

In seeking new Editors-in-Chief, BAM is looking for someone with enthusiasm, excellent organizational skills and the appropriate scholarly knowledge and standing. This is an exciting and challenging role and it is expected that the candidates will have had some previous experience either as a journal editor or an associate/consultant editor, extensive experience as a reviewer for management journals, capacity to handle a demanding workload, ability to work constructively with authors, reviewers and BAM, and be familiar with current issues in journal publication.

About IJMR

The IJMR is currently in its fourteenth year of publication and has established an excellent reputation for publishing high quality articles across the full range of business and management disciplines. Since its entry into the Institute of Science Index (ISI), the IJMR has grown in strength and enhanced its standing as a major outlet for high impact work. Its citation figure currently stands at 3.581 and it is securely positioned with the top tier of European based journals. Under the recent stewardship of Professors Ossie Jones, Allan Macpherson and Kamel Mellahi professional editorial processes have been introduced with the consequence that submissions, electronic downloads and readership have all increased
significantly. This prestigious post offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution by taking the Journal’s international repute and standing to the next level.

The 2014 International Conference on Organisational Learning, Knowledge and Capabilities is being held in Norway in April next year. The theme, ‘Circuits of Knowledge’…

This looks to be a great conference for those interested in knowledge and organisational learning…cycles, loops and the recursiveness of practice…amongst other things! There are some super keynote speakers lined up…and the location looks pretty good too!
