Led by Laura Fogg Rogers,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/engineering\/uwe-bristol-supports-engineer-leaders-award-for-south-west-england\/\">UWE Bristol is an official sponsor<\/a>, in partnership with Defence Equipment and Support (the procurement arm of the Ministry of Defence).<\/p>\n<p>The shortlisted entries were showcased at a public <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/engineering\/south-west-engineering-leaders-awards-exhibition-and-public-event\/\">exhibition<\/a> in June 2018, bringing together 19 winners and their parents in a celebration with engineers from across the South West.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;If you were an engineer, what would you do?&quot;\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ry06M1uxruY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Children from Reception through to Year 10 were recognised for their efforts. Designs ranged from rotating bunk beds to bird-identifier binoculars.
