{"id":3516,"date":"2021-01-20T15:30:13","date_gmt":"2021-01-20T15:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/engineering\/?p=3516"},"modified":"2021-01-20T15:30:15","modified_gmt":"2021-01-20T15:30:15","slug":"digital-engineering-workshop-aligning-skills-requirements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/engineering\/digital-engineering-workshop-aligning-skills-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital Engineering Workshop: Aligning Skills Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Digital Engineering Workshops: Aligning Skills Requirements &#8211; 22nd to 29th of January<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The DETI Innovate programme led by the Engineering, Design and Mathematics Department at UWE Bristol, are hosting a series of workshops to determine the skills and knowledge required in the engineering workforce that will enable Industry 4.0 technologies to be effectively deployed and used widely by UK manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These workshops form part of the Department&#8217;s work as <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.uwe.ac.uk\/engineering\/uwe-leads-on-inspiring-future-digital-engineers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lead for the Skills and Workforce Development<\/a> branch for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deti.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital Engineering Technology Innovation<\/a> (DETI) initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The insight gained from these workshops will support development of the technical education and training provision required to develop these skills and knowledge as a series of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DETI Innovate are now looking for local participants with a good understanding of the product development lifecycle within an Engineering Manufacturing context.
