Mark Jones<\/a>, Senior Lecturer in Geography Education at\u00a0the Department of Education and Childhood<\/a>, and Professor David Lambert<\/a> (UCL, Institute\u00a0of Education)\u00a0 have received a national award for\u00a0 their second edition of the co-edited book \u2018<\/b><\/span>Debates in Geography Education\u2019<\/strong><\/a>published with Routledge.<\/p>\n The Geographical Associations\u2019 Silver award is given in recognition of publications which make a significant contribution to geographical education and professional development. The judges at this year\u2019s conference noted that Mark and David\u2019s book \u201cdoes what no other geography education text does in one volume \u2013 it raises questions about the nature of geography teaching \u2013 and although scholarly, it makes the \u2018problematic\u2019 in geography teaching accessible.
