We have spoken to several students about their experiences of getting involved in Pro Bono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s what they had to say: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"UWE Pro Bono\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/348148333?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor my career it has helped me get work experience. I think that being involved in Pro Bono will give you that confidence to put that on your CV and when law firms can look at you being involved, they definitely would want to take you on and give you some more experience because they trust in you.\u201d\u00a0 &#8211; Manmeet Singh, Law Student<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen I was at UWE I got involved in an organisation called Street Law which is a programme that goes to help teach younger children the basic of laws. So, we would be teaching them things like civil and criminal law, the advocacy process and just a general introduction to studying law.\u201d &#8211; Isaac Cole, Trainee Solicitor\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt helped me build my confidence as before I couldn\u2019t really speak in front of a group of people and now I\u2019m accustomed to holding events of upwards of 300 people.\u201d &#8211; Freya Whiting, Law Student <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Pro Bono experiences I\u2019ve done has helped me for my career in a sense that it\u2019s developed my confidence when being in an interview situation. It\u2019s also helped in a sense that it\u2019s helped me further understand why I want to pursue this career.\u201d &#8211; Rory Jutton, LPC Student<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI would recommend students to do Pro Bono activities or get involved with Pro Bono.
