As is customary in M&C we're celebrating the 100th issue of the UWE Bulletin today with some cake!

Mary Price and Jane Kelly, joint Bulletin editors for all 100 issues say, "The Bulletin is a team effort. We would like to thank everyone who contributes each month, especially Jayne Andrews, Kate Mooney and Lesley Drake in the Press Office who contribute articles and manage production, Annette Marchant-Haycox, Debbie Harris and Ben Smith in the design team, the team at UWE Printing and Stationery, Josephine Herrlinger who picks up all the errors we've missed at final proof stage and all our regular contributors from HR, the Staff Association, the Marketing events team and Faculty Marketing staff."

Anniversary copies are making their way to you or you can also read online at http://info.uwe.ac.uk/news/UWENews/bulletin.asp

Thanks
Press Office

Today we were treated to retro tea and cakes by Grace for her last day in the office before leaving us to start a new marketing assignment for the Faculty of Creative Arts, Humanities and Education. Grace joined us from TSU to co-ordinate the postgraduate prospectus and courses database and has also done some really interesting work developing a brief for an international video. She is also amazing at making cakes and posh tea - thank you Grace!

Official UWE facebook page (and cake)

Three weeks ago today we created the official UWE facebook page, as a gentle, informal way to keep people up to date with what we’re up to - whether students, staff, alumni, applicants or enquirers.

When we started I promised our facebook editors; Nathalie Southall and Emma Watkins I’d get baking when we hit 1’000 fans. As we passed the target late on Tuesday evening today we had thousand fan cake (devil's food cake with mocha icing, caramel shortbread on the side).

If you want to show your support (and haven’t already) then do go to our page and click the 'like' button at the top (don’t worry – we won’t suddenly be able to see photos of your nights out).

If you’d like to find out more about our strategy for the page then drop us a line. Likewise, if you’d like to talk about using social media for marketing or communication purposes, or if you'd like to come along to the Introduction to Social Media workshop on Thu 19 Aug - just let me know.
