Equality and Diversity Photo Competition

Posted by Matthew Owen | 0 comments
The Equality and Diversity Unit recently called upon students and staff at UWE to submit an image which creatively represented the theme 'equality and diversity - what it means to you'.

Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Marketing and Communications pooled their collective creativity to create an image called "Shoe + We" as their submission to the competition. The photograph was a simple expression of a diverse community based on people's footwear and was an enjoyable team exercise.

The competition winners were recently announced and we were happy to see that our entry had achieved a respectable second place.

Well done to the Equality and Diversity Unit for their efforts in pulling the competition together and we look forward to taking part next time.

Drew's Social Media Presentation

Posted by Emma O'Connell | 2 comments

Thanks to everyone who came to the Euro RSCG Riley presentation today about harnessing the power of social media - we hope you found it useful. Drew is really keen for some feedback on the presentation, particularly:

  • balance of the content
  • what was most useful?
  • choice of case studies

You can do this by emailing me or by leaving a comment here and we'll send Drew here.

In the spirit of social media thought i'd let you know we received a letter saying we've been shortlisted for THES Recruitment Campaign of the Year. I think we will be an outsider in terms of entries since there is a fair bit of competition from agencies in this category. Will know results on June 17. In the meatime we are meant to keep quiet until march 18 so keep under your hat til then but excellent news and well done everyone. keith
