There are lots of interesting events to choose from in February - here's just a few of them.

Centre for Health and Clinical Research Conference
Date: 1 February 2012
Venue: UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre, Bristol

The first conference from The Centre for Health and Clinical Research. The event will include an overview of centre work presented by Director, Professor Pam Moule. Attendees will have an opportunity to attend two of six seminar sessions profiling the excellent research and scholarship of centre staff:

  • Long term conditions and critical care
  • Children and young people
  • Public health and wellbeing
  • Health, ethics and society
  • Public involvement in research
  • Evaluation and practice development

Assistive Technologies for Service Improvement in Health and Social Care

Venue: UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre, Bristol

Assistive Technologies for Service Improvement in Health and Social CareThis one day conference is an opportunity for health professionals, researchers and representatives from industry and public sector to come together to debate the important issues of development, evaluation and utilisation of assistive technologies for service improvement in health and social care. The event is supported by the Assistive Technology Strategic Network (ATSN) at UWE, Bristol, which is involved in the development and delivery of educational and training approaches and innovative practice. The event is also supported by the iNets South West.

The England Honour Society for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (Phi Mu Chapter)
Date: 29 February 2012
Venue: Glenside Campus, UWE Bristol

The presentations are part of a series taking place as part of activities of the Phi Mu Chapter which promotes leadership and scholarship in nursing practice, education and research. They support learning and professional development worldwide, with over 130,000 members in 90 countries.
