work by UWE student Clare Piper, BA(Hons) Fashion Design
Our Fashion students are having a very busy week indeed. Fresh from their sell out catwalk shows at RWA last weekend they are showing at London Graduate Fashion Week from 5-8 June at Earls Court. Graduate Fashion Week is a scouting destination for many of the top names in the industry and a fantastic showcase for graduating students. One to watch is Nicola Chisnall, Fashion/Textile Design student, who has been getting plenty of press in the run up to the shows with her garments featuring in Disorder Magazine, Metro and on

You can see a selection of garments, textiles and 2D fashion illustration and styling work by graduating Fashion students at UWE's Art Design and Media Degree Show, 11-16 June 2011.

Congratulations to Philippa Stewart (BA(Hons) Fashion/Textile Design) who has come first in both the Judges' prize AND the public vote for the place+environment project for her work Pull Yourself Together, scooping both £200 prizes! Both prizes have been very generously supported by the PLaCE Research Centre.

The Judges also highly commended the work of Hafiz Jessani (BA(Hons) Animation) for Save Our World and

Alicia Howitt (BA(Hons) Fine Art) for Tuscany.

The runner up in the public vote was a poster depicting jellyfish and plastic bags by D3* students.

Further information about the project and resulting exhibition can be found at
