Join us for the annual showcase of work by final year undergraduate and postgraduate creative industries students. The show is the highlight of the academic year and a chance to discover a new generation of artists, designers and media practitioners.
Bower Ashton Campus hosts a spectacular range of work from courses including Animation, Drawing and Applied Arts, Design, Fashion, MA Fine Art, Film-making and Creative Media, Graphic Design, Illustration, Journalism, Media, Photography and Print-making.
Work by undergraduate Fine Art students will also be exhibited at Spike Island.

The Degree Show will be open as part of the Open Day on Saturday 8 June for anyone considering studying at undergraduate level at UWE.
There is also an opportunity for those considering postgraduate study in some MA/MSc level subjects to attend the Creative Industries Postgraduate Drop In.

As part of his on-going research into the artists’ books produced by the artist Ed Ruscha and those who appropriate this work, Tom Sowden has been invited to contribute to an exhibition of Ed Ruscha’s legendary artist books together with books and works of art by more than 100 contemporary artists that respond directly and diversely to Ruscha’s original project. Curated by Bob Monk, “Ed Ruscha Books & Co.” has been drawn from private collections, including Ruscha’s own. Most of the books are installed so that viewers can interact with them and browse their pages.
Tom’s work is also included in ‘VARIOUS SMALL BOOKS: Referencing Various Small Books by Ed Ruscha’ published by MIT Press. In the 1960s and 1970s, Ed Ruscha created a series of artists' books, among them Twentysix Gasoline Stations, Every Building on the Sunset Strip, Various Small Fires and A Few Palm Trees. Since then, many others have paid homage, recreated and ripped-off Ruscha's iconic books, so much so that the appropriation and paraphrasing of Ed Ruscha now constitutes a genre of its own. VARIOUS SMALL BOOKS collects ninety-one of these projects, showcasing the cover and sample layouts from each along with a description of the work.

Led by the internationally renowned Aardman Animations, Gromit Unleashed is a public art exhibition in the city of Bristol. Giant fibreglass sculptures of Gromit, standing 5ft tall, will be 'unleashed' onto the streets of Bristol and the surrounding area.
Artists from Bristol, the UK and around the world will be designing Gromit sculptures for the trail this summer.
