UWE Bristol’s annual Creative Industries Degree Show is a real highlight of the year, showcasing the outstanding work of more than 500 new graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate art, design and media courses

This exciting event offers a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this year’s finest creative talent with the public and employers, and provides inspiration for all who attend. See examples of this year's work on Pinterest.

Event details

The Creative Industries Degree Show takes place at Bower Ashton Campus near Ashton Court and Spike Island in south Bristol.

At the Bower Ashton Campus, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on exhibition include:

  • Animation
  • Art, Media and Design by project
  • Drawing and Applied Arts
  • Fashion
  • Filmmaking and Creative Media
  • Graphic Design
  • Illustration
  • Journalism
  • Media, Culture and Practice
  • Multi-disciplinary Printmaking
  • Photography

Spike Island Studios are home to UWE Fine Art and Art and Visual Culture programmes, and BA(Hons) graduates will exhibit their work in the studios.

The Degree Show is open to the general public from 7 - 12 June 2014:

Friday 6 June (Private view): 18:00 - 21:00

Invitation only.

Saturday 7 June Open Day: 10:00 - 18:00

The Creative Industries Degree Show will be open as part ofUndergraduate Open Day on Saturday 7 June. If you are interested instudying Art, Design and Media at UWE, this is an outstanding opportunity to view the show, tour the Bower Ashton campus and Spike Island, and talk informally to current students.

General information about full range of Creative Industries programmes and support services will be available throughout the day.

If you would like to attend an Open Day, please register online.

Sunday 8 June: 10:00 - 18:00

Admission is free and no booking required for the general public.

Monday 9 June - Thursday 12 June: 10:00 - 20:00

Degree Show 2013

Join us for the annual showcase of work by final year undergraduate and postgraduate creative industries students. The show is the highlight of the academic year and a chance to discover a new generation of artists, designers and media practitioners.

Bower Ashton Campus hosts a spectacular range of work from courses including Animation, Drawing and Applied Arts, Design, Fashion, MA Fine Art, Film-making and Creative Media, Graphic Design, Illustration, Journalism, Media, Photography and Print-making.


Work by undergraduate Fine Art students will also be exhibited at Spike Island.

UWE Open Day - Saturday 8 June 2013


The Degree Show will be open as part of the Open Day on Saturday 8 June for anyone considering studying at undergraduate level at UWE.


There is also an opportunity for those considering postgraduate study in some MA/MSc level subjects to attend the Creative Industries Postgraduate Drop In.

I am a pessimist who enjoys being pleasantly surprised
Excitement is building at Bower Ashton as the preparations continue for this year's Degree Show. The whole campus will be given over to the exhibition of our students' final work, and you can catch a glimpse of the huge array of creative talent on show by visiting our News and Events page.
