100% Design Award

We are very excited and impressed by how well our recent graduates have performed at various prestigious art and design competitions. None more so than D3 graduate Suzie Button (one of our wonderful student ambassadors) who has won the 100% Design Award at New Designers 2011 for her sustainable seating design No News is Good News.

100% Design is the UK's foremost interiors event for the contract, hospitality and residential markets. Suzie will have a stand at the event to be held at Earl's Court between 22-25 September.

Suzie won the award in competition with 2,500 other students. The judges were bowled over by her work, latex covered stacks of newspapers which function as seating, and they loved the genuine sustainable thinking behind the work.

2011 Drawing and Applied Arts graduate Luke Agnew has an exhibition from 29 July - 4 August at Southbank on Dean Lane in Southville, between 18:00 - 22:00 every day. Luke describes his work in the exhibition as "balancing both hand printed patterning and conceptual installation. Embracing traditional printing methodology alongside a modernist perspective of urbanised rejuvenation, the exhibition demonstrates colourful interpretations of celtic knotwork and Islamic mandalas".
